Dr. Varga Hosseini is a visual artist, curator, and writer. 

Since 1998, he has written extensively on contemporary Australian visual culture and contributed articles, reviews and essays to prominent publications, including Artlink, Australian Art Collector, The Broadsheet, Australian Women’s Book Review, Eremos, Eyeline, NAVA Quarterly, Realtime and Vitamin.

Projektor has been developed by Dr. Hosseini as a platform for the appreciation and interpretation of cinema, music video, and visual art.

Projektor provides regular updates, reviews, and essays on motion pictures and visual art from around the world, and also showcases Dr. Hosseini’s artistic collaborations with his father, Fari Hosseini, including mixed-media paintings that explore the relationship between light and touch, the visible and the tactile.
